.جیسے ہی کوئی نیا طریقہ (بدعت) ایجاد کیا جاتا ہے، وہ ایک پرانے رواج کو پیچھے چھوڑ دیتا ہے۔ لہٰذا بدعتوں سے پرہیز کرو اور سیدھے راستے پر چلو۔ بے شک پرانی (مستند) سنتیں بہترین ہیں، جبکہ نئی ایجاد کردہ (بدعتیں) بدترین ہیں۔

“Jaisay hi koi naya tareeqa (bid‘at) ijad kiya jata hai, woh aik puranay rivaaj ko peeche chhor deta hai. Lihaza bid‘aton se parhez karo aur seedhay raaste par chalo. Be shak purani (mustanad) sunnatein behtareen hain, jabke nayi ijad kardah (bid‘atein) badtareen hain.”

جب تم کوئی خبر سنو تو اسے خود غور و فکر سے پرکھو، نہ کہ صرف خبر کی بنیاد پر۔ بے شک علم بیان کرنے والے بہت ہیں، مگر اس پر گہری توجہ دینے والے بہت کم ہیں۔

جس شخص نے اپنے آپ کو لوگوں کا رہنما مقرر کیا، اسے چاہیے کہ دوسروں کو سکھانے سے پہلے خود کو سکھائے۔
اور اسے چاہیے کہ لوگوں کی اصلاح اپنے قول سے نہیں بلکہ اپنے عمل سے کرے۔
جو شخص خود اپنی تربیت کرتا ہے اور خود کو سنوارتا ہے، وہ اس شخص سے زیادہ قابلِ عزت ہے جو دوسروں کو نصیحت کرتا ہے مگر خود عمل نہیں کرتا۔

Jis shakhs ne apne aap ko logon ka rehnuma muqarrar kiya, usay chahiye ke doosron ko sikhane se pehle khud ko sikhaye.
Aur usay chahiye ke logon ki islah apne qoul se nahi balkay apne amal se kare.
Jo shakhs khud apni tarbiyat karta hai wo us shakhs se zyada qabil-e-izzat hai jo doosron ko nasihat karta hai magar khud amal nahi karta.
